Anis had a deep love for travel, and from a young age, he explored many places:
• 1985 – Traveled to France with the family, where he celebrated his first birthday.
• 1985 – Also visited London during this trip.
• 1990 – At age 6, traveled to Réunion Island with the family for a Bahá'í Inter-Island Conference.
• 2002 – Accompanied the family on Pilgrimage to the Holy Land (Israel).and France
• 2003 – Traveled to Rodrigues Island as a traveling teacher for three months.
• August 2003 – Moved to France to study at Université Paris 10.
• During his time in France, he frequently visited his brother Brian in Strasbourg, and I know they had a lot of fun together.
• During university holidays, he often visited London and Germany.
• 2005 – Visited us in Mauritius before returning to complete his studies.
• 2007-2008 – Returned home after completing his BA in Law.
• After completing his MBA, he took a job at a company named Cote Ouest dealing with film and media.
Anis’ career took him across the world. He traveled extensively for work:
• Every 15 days, he was on a flight to Seychelles, Madagascar, Réunion, and Comoros.
• He made over 30 trips during this period.
• Later, he became Marketing Strategic Manager at Lafarge, which expanded his travels even further:
o France, Lebanon, Comoros, Réunion, Madagascar, Switzerland, South Africa, Germany, London, Kenya, Uganda, Turkey, and more.
o During a business trip, he also visited Israel for a three-day Pilgrimage.
I remember how sometimes he got caught in airline strikes, forcing him to stay abroad longer than planned. One particular memory stands out—just three days before his wedding, he was traveling, and we feared the airport strikes would delay his return.
Anis also traveled for leisure, visiting:
• Rodrigues, Réunion, Singapore, Malaysia ,India, Africa, and China on holiday with his wife, Michaella.
• Almost every 3 month, they would escape to island hotels for a short getaway.
