Anis, My Beloved Friend
11.07.1984 - 26.02.2025
Anis, my dear friend, my spiritual brother —your passing was so sudden and unexpected, and this contingent world now feels ever so different without you in it. You were a seeker, a dreamer, a soul who yearned to pierce the veils of existence, to grasp the mysteries hidden beyond sight and physical senses.
With questions and reflections too deep for most to fathom, you walked this earth in quiet wisdom, in search, in contemplation, in devotion, in love with life and its mysteries. You were an enigma to most but to me, you were in many ways a reflection to the hidden yearnings of my own soul.
You were a creature of utmost rarity, unique, timeless and grand, more than words can ever contain—more than any measure could define. Whether near or far, you were always near. We have always felt connected beyond time or space; beyond flesh, beyond the miles of this earthly plane... Like you said yourself: "...our shared origins, a bond that existed before this life... An unfinished mission with a purpose that extends beyond it." And I know that now, more than ever, we are closer than before.
"This most great, this fathomless and surging Ocean is near, astonishingly near, unto you. Behold it is closer to you than your life-vein! Swift as the twinkling of an eye ye can, if ye but wish it, reach and partake of this imperishable favor, this God-given grace, this incorruptible gift, this most potent and unspeakably glorious bounty." — Bahá'u'lláh
In my own search for truth, you were a rare light, a presence that revived my spirit time and again. Our exchanges, our sharing, our silences, the depth of our conversations, our laughs about the absurdity and beauty of the human experience—these are treasures I will hold forever, immeasurable in their worth, unfathomable in their depth. For this, I thank God for the friendship of our parents that intertwined our paths, and for the sacred bond that we shared.
Though I miss you beyond measure, my heart and spirit rejoice for you and with you right now. What we share(d) cannot be quantified, categorized, or contained—it exists in that sacred space that defies all worldly measurement.
I carry you with me—always until we meet again and I know, with certainty, that your journey continues in light, in love, and in the infinite expanse of the divine.
Yá Bahá’u’l-Abhá!
"I see you, I have always seen you, and I am with you."
Forever in my heart,
Yours,
Rouhangeze (Babygirl)
